To All Testers,

RE: Letter from our Chief Operations Operator (C.O.O), Jimmy Thomsett

Howdy! Jimmy Thomsett here, C.O.O for Project Unescapable, a top secret branch of Tetrhea. It is our responsibility to test the highly volatile and potentially dangerous time portals that Tetrhea has been developing and we need you! – Let’s face it, I’m not doing it!

Is there a team that you can muster together? Preferably one that is highly skilled in communication and equipped with common sense, logical and critical thinking. If not, come anyway, as long as you can function as a human being, you’re in!

The highly volatile and potentially dangerous time portals will transport you somewhere in the fabric of time – you will have an hour to conduct your research and complete your mission before you return to the present. If you get back in time, great, well done you! – Go home and celebrate, if you’re lucky we might even break out the pineapple and cheese sticks. If you fail to return in time, well, lets cross that interstellar wormhole when we get to it.

We look forward to welcoming you to our facility as we work together to achieve something incredible for humanity.

Jimmy.

Oh, P.S. as this is a top secret facility we operate under the cover of an “Escape Room Business” so our site has been subtly altered to make sure we don’t blow our cover.

PORTALS

ROOMS

We need to test that this portal works properly, we’re pretty sure that it does but we just need to be certain! From what we can gather Tommy has landed somewhere in the midst of the Western Front in 1917. There is a very significant chance/the slight possibility that the portal could break when you go through (but it probably won’t don’t worry) If it does though, don’t panic, your team are just going to have to fix the time portal before the bridge collapses and you’re trapped in the past forever.

When we first open a time portal we send one of our scientists back to make sure everything is ok and it is all safe and stable – we sent Edith, but unfortunately she hasn’t returned… We’ve now lost communication with her, but we do know that she was trying to shut the portal down when something stopped her. We need your team to finish the job – we would go ourselves but we’re too scared.

Queries

FAQ

What are we actually doing?

You’ll be taking part in an Escape Room experience, you’ll be locked in a room where you must solve puzzles and clues in order to escape within the time limit (60 minutes)

Is it scary?

Some of our rooms may be scary, the room description should give you an idea of whether or not it is, but if you’re unsure please feel free to contact us and we’d be happy to advise you.

Are we really locked in?

You will be able to leave the room at any time, however re-entry to the room will not be permitted.

What size team should I have?

Our rooms are designed for teams of between 2 and 6 players, naturally, 2 players may find it more difficult to escape than a team of 6… 2 heads are better than one, but 6 are better than 2.

What if we can’t solve the puzzles?

If you get stuck we may offer hints to try to help you to escape in time.

Is there an age restriction?

Our games are designed for players aged 14 and over. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Are the rooms wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately our rooms are not yet wheelchair accessible, however we’re working to resolve this.

When should we arrive?

Due to the nature of escape rooms, we run to a strict schedule. Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your slot time. Ideally, please arrive 10 minutes before your slot time so that you can be briefed before entering the room.

What happens if we’re late?

If you think you are going to be late, then please let us know ASAP, and we will try to do our best to help you get the most from your visit.

What is your cancellation policy?

Once a booking is made we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations. However if you can no longer make the slot that you have booked, let us know as soon as possible and we will try our best to fill it, if we successfully rebook the slot then we will happily reschedule your slot for another time.

Do we play the rooms with other teams?

No, your team will be the only one playing a room, so make sure you choose your fellow players wisely.

Is it suitable if I’m pregnant?

Our rooms may have physical obstacles such as ducking and stepping, and some rooms may be dark or scary. If you are unsure feel free to get in touch and we will be able to advise in more detail.

  •   Edith room at Unescapable Derby - absolutely fantastic. I was in a team of 3 and for all of us this was our very first escape room, and it didn’t disappoint. The challenges made our brains work overtime, and with the added scare factor this...More

I have completed both Edith and Tommy and they are both absolutely amazing! Edith is a MUST and was the funniest yet most terrifying hour of my life. The staff are incredible and the way they build the atmosphere before you go into the room...More

We visited here to play both games (Tommy and Edith) having heard good things about the place. Wow! We were not disappointed. Absolutely loved Tommy. Great game and some tricky puzzles and would definitely recommend, but Edith was just on a completely different level. Great...More

Visited here with work colleagues, having done a couple of other escape room companies previously. We chose Edith as we heard it was challenging and quite scary. We found it to be both and although we made it out with 10 mins to spare it...More

  •   Excellent fun, can’t wait to try a different room. Good for all ages. Mental and physical tasks to complete that took some working out but logic wins the day!

Had a great time. The themeing and setup of this room was great. We had 4 players, which was 2 fewer than intended, and 3 fewer than the maximum so I was worried we'd not have enough people, but actually we finished ahead of time...More

We travelled as a group of 4 to visit Edith on Saturday. As 4 people who have done a fair amount of escape rooms between us, we thoroughly enjoyed the room and puzzles. It was very very immersive (and terrifying!). A lot of screams from...More
